What if nature is not something we design about, but something we design with?
What if a material is not simply a passive substance that we shape, but a partner that responds, transforms, grows, ages, decomposes, or even refuses to behave as expected?
And what if textiles and fibres are not only surfaces, products, or objects, but powerful tools for connecting bodies, materials, species, technologies, and environments?
NATURE LAB 3.0 – Designing with Living Matter continues our exploration of the relationship between design and the natural world. Building on the previous NATURE LAB projects, this semester shifts the focus towards matter, making, transformation, and interdependence.
The ecological challenges of our time require us to rethink not only what we design, but also how and with whom we design.
