Salé is a set of tableware for serving caviar. These luxury delicacy calls for special attention, not only because of their pricing, also because of their environmentally awareness. The project deals with the original and very natural foodsource - the sea. Rough and sandy surfaces refer to this. Also caviar was not always an ingredient for an upper-class menue, far from it.

The Set includes tableware consisting of bowls, plates and caviarspoons, wodkaglasses and napkins. A black underplate works as a space for bread or blinis and also as the frame for the caviarbowl, which is made out of solid, sandcasted glass. The contrast between unglazed black porcelain and the shiny, transparent glassobjects place emphasis on the high priced caviar. Both, Wodka glasses and caviar bowl can be put in the freezer before serving, to keep the content cold and fresh for up to an hour. There is no need for icecubes and therefore no risk of melting water impurifying the caviar.
